How many people can I bring to my appointment? We recommend bringing 2-3 trusted friends or family members whose opinions you value. We find that if you bring too many people, your own opinions tend to get lost.

Will my gown need alterations? Our process is designed to ensure your dress fits perfectly on your wedding day. In the initial consultation, you will try on sample gowns to get a feel of what different shapes, fabrics and colours work best with you and your style. Then, during the toile (calico) fitting, a prototype of your wedding gown is made in a calico fabric so you can see all the main structural and design elements together. After the toile fitting, our expert seamstresses will create your actual dress. It will be made according to your toile and at each subsequent fitting, your wedding dress will be closer to completion. The final fitting is the collection fitting. This usually happens 2-4 weeks before your wedding day. It's best to not collect too early in case of any weight changes, you want your wedding dress to fit you perfectly on the day! These fittings are included as part of our standard design process, but please reach out if you are not available for multiple fittings at our Sydney location and need to make other arrangements.
-
How long does it take for my gown to be ready?Typically it takes 5-8 months from our initial consultation to the final fitting and collection. The process involves several fittings because we want you to fall in love with your gown and how you look in it! Please reach out if you need a gown on a shorter timeframe.
-
What about rush orders? Please contact us with details if you need a gown ready in less than four months. We do offer rush service for an additional fee.
